If you could re-live a year without changing a thing, which would it be?

I’m in the front, middle, purple corsette.

I was recently asked a very philosophical question: If you could re-live 12 months, without changing a single thing, with the same mind you have now, what would you re-live. You wouldn’t be able to change a single thing, just observe, experience, live with.

It was very easy, I had only one. September 2004 — September 2005

My first time away from home, my first year of university studies, my first apartment, a lot of firsts and lasts.

I would enjoy every moment of late night silence, studying.

I would enjoy every late night tea talk with my now best friend E, enjoy having all my friends a few short minutes of walk away, or in the dorm next door.

It was 12 months of pure simplicity where all I had to do was go to class, do my home work and hang out with friends. Friends who were always free, and everything was magical. Nobody had any money to speak of, but we made it work and scraped our part time jobs and our funds to make meals together. The student disco was free, and we entertained ourselves with long walks and board games.

No year before that, and no year after has been full of so much sorrowless joys.

I’d re-live that year in a heart beat, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

What year would you re-live and why?
