You’d never know it was two bots hooking up.
There is a long story behind Botflirt, and one day I will tell it.
But for now let’s focus on my saturday night.
I usually sit and work on some form of project or prototype on weekends. But it dawned upon me that it had been ages since I did something silly. After all that’s 90% of who I am, a bag of silly.
I frequently do different type of usability testing for my bots, but my favorite test to date is when I let my bots talk to other bots.
Not only is it hilarious, and a way to test one’s script to the core, it is also very philosophical.
By letting two bots talk to each other, you are letting two developers talk to each other by proxy. Letting the essence of them meet in a digital chaos where chance decides what they say, and how compatible their minds are at predicting what the other one can and will say. A verbal game of chess.
It is the ultimate friendship test.
This particular evening I have let Evie (by Existor) go on a date with Botflirt (by augmentedrobot).
I’d say they did pretty well. You’d never know it was two bots hooking up.
Perhaps if I didn’t have a huge amount of conscience and ethics, I’d test this on a dating site :).
